Quick 4 Kit Builder

IMPORTANT

Read Before Ordering

Our goal is to insure that you get the correct harness for your transmission the first time. You will need to visually identify the connectors on your transmission by comparing them to the pictures in the kit builder. Pay close attention to the shape of the connector. The E4OD and 4R100 have had connector changes throughout their production runs and sometimes even within the same model year. It's also common for a supplier to incorrectly report the model year of a transmission they are selling. Because of these factors, you shouldn't rely on model year information when identifying transmission connectors.

If the transmission isn't nearby, print out the connector guide so you can identify the connectors before ordering. If you don't have the transmission yet, it is best to wait until you receive it and can verify the connectors before ordering your system. Taking this extra time up front will help you avoid the time and expense of having to send incorrect harnesses back for exchange.

Connector Guide

You can print this guide and use it to visually check your transmission connectors.

Which solenoid (bulkhead) connector does your transmission have? Examine the connector and the transmission plug to make sure you're choosing correctly. Click on the pictures below to see a larger view.
Use the buttons below to make your choice, then click Next to continue.

Use the shape of the connector and the locking tabs, pointed out by the arrows, to determine which version you have. Some older models might have 12 pins, but this doesn't matter.

If you have an '89 to '94 transmission with the original design range sensor, you will need to replace it with the updated version in order to be compatible with our controller. If you have a '95 to '97 transmission with a damaged or missing range sensor, you can purchase this one as a replacement.
It's important to note that you can't use an 4R70W/AODE range sensor on an E4OD, despite some part stores selling 4R70W/AODE range sensors for E4OD transmissions. Using the wrong range sensor will result in error codes on the controller.
Use the buttons below to make your choice, then click Next to continue.
