Quick10 Now Available
August 19, 2025
Today we're excited to announce that the Quick 10 is now available for purchase! Quick 10 currently supports the Ford 10R80 transmission with support for the GM 10L90 to be added very soon. Click here to learn more. (Please note that engines with more than 550 ft/lbs of torque are still in pre-release, meaning our technicians will need to communicate with you directly on your use-case.)
10-Speed Mustang Swap

In this video, we give our synopsis of how it went installing a 10R80 transmission into a 2006 Mustang GT and controlling it with the US Shift Quick10 transmission controller. We're calling this one "Project Black Magic". Since there was a ton of information we wanted to discuss, we've produced 2 videos: A Quick version and a Detailed version. Transmission Adapters

We have partnered with Performance Adapters and are now carrying their kits in the US Shift store. These kits can be used to adapt transmissions to engines they would normally not be compatible with. You can purchase a kit on its own from our online store or receive a discount when you bundle with a Quick control system.
Quick10 Early Sales
April 17, 2025
We are very excited about the quality, functionality, and performance potential of our new Quick10 controller for the Ford 10R80 transmission. We are currently running a limited early-adopter release program and are selling units to customers who are ready to perform a transmission swap within the next few weeks.
Customers who participate in this program will be required to submit data logs from their vehicles and will receive direct support from chief engineer Karl Baumann for their installation and tuning.
We are currently accepting candidates with engines that produce up to 550 ft-lbs of torque (moderate displacement N.A. engines and mildly boosted smaller displacements). Soon, we will be opening the program up to more powerful applications.
Please do not participate in this program unless you are able to complete the project quickly as your needs would be better served with the final production version of Quick10. Click here to contact us.
US Shift and Tariffs

With the recent news of tariffs a hot topic here in the US, we wanted to reassure our customers that, so far, we have been able to absorb the minor cost differences that have come up. This is because we do all of our manufacturing here in the US. There are only a few components that we have to buy from overseas that have no US-made alternative. We'll keep you posted to any changes that may come up.
Silver Bullet Update Video

In this video, Karl discusses the upgrades he's been making to the 2004 Grand Marquis, which is the test vehicle for the upcoming Quick10, utilizing the 10R80 transmission. SEMA Show 2024

We just got back from this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas and enjoyed meeting with all of you who stopped by our booth! We'd like to thank CBM Designs for letting us showcase their incredible Bronco at our booth and Josh at PerformanceAdapters.com for joining us and featuring his 6R80 to small block Ford adapter in the Bronco. We're excited to see the positive response we've received regarding our new product, the Quick10 stand alone transmission control system. Its planned launch will be in early 2025 and will support the Ford 10R80 and GM 10L90 10 speed transmissions.

We are ready to unveil our latest product in the Quick transmission control family, the Quick10. This controller with remote display is compatible with the 10R80 from Ford and the 10L90 from GM. We will be showcasing the Quick10 at the SEMA Show this week.

US Shift TPS Adapter for Aftermarket EFI Systems
June 1, 2021
We've recently added a new adapter kit to our product line which makes tapping a speed signal from an aftermarket EFI system for use with our Quick controllers a simple process. It was designed primarily with the Holley Sniper and Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI systems in mind. We have also had customers use it for other aftermarket systems as well. The adapter simplifies the wiring of the TPS circuit while also providing filtering and isolation in order to prevent interference within the two systems. This allows the TPS to be shared between them. It is available for purchase directly from our store page or as an add-on in the Quick 6, Quick 4, and Quick 2 kit builder wizards.
10R80 Beta Testing Coming Soon

We are making great progress on implementing support for the Ford 10R80 transmission. After developing new tuning tools, we've been able to streamline the calibration development process. We plan to begin limited beta testing in early 2021. Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date on the progress of the 10R80 project.
US Shift Patent News

On September 8th, 2020, the US Patent and Trademark Office granted Baumann Electronic Controls patent number 10,767,759 for our transmission control system, as employed in all of our Quick controllers. This new patent is in addition to our first patent, 10,100,922.

US Shift Patent News

On October 16, 2018, the US Patent and Trademark Office granted Baumann Electronic Controls patent number 10,100,922 for our self-tuning transmission control system, as employed in the US Shift Quick 6 transmission controller, and to a lesser extent, in the Quick 4 and Quick 2 products. This patented system dramatically simplifies the setup and configuration of control systems for clutch-to-clutch transmissions and enables these products to be flexible enough to serve a variety of vehicle applications and engine combinations. We are also awaiting the status of a continuation application with regard to additions to this patent.

Shiftware Tuning Software Update

Version 5.20 of Shiftware has been released. It adds some new features, support for new firmware versions, and various bug fixes. One of the new features is the help dialogue at the top of the screen. For those who are new to Shiftware, this help dialogue will give you instructs pertaining to wherever your cursor points. (For those who are already experienced with Shiftware, this feature can be turned off.) You can download the latest version from the Shiftware page.

Shiftware Tuning Software Update
October 27, 2017 Version 5.13a of Shiftware has been released, containing recommended updates for the Quick 6 controller and 6R80 transmissions. A new "power level" selection has been added to provide baseline clutch pressure curves that are tailored to the engine's power level. These new baseline curves will shorten the automatic tuning process and will improve overall transmission performance. You can download the new version from the Shiftware page.

Now shipping with our latest Firmware, the Quick 6 control system for 6R80 transmissions features key improvements. With our pre-loaded clutch learn data, you can now begin driving immediately after installation. Shift quality is even better than before and multiple aftermarket torque converter options are now available using our revised tuning software.

We've updated our website with a new online ordering wizard which will walk you through step-by-step to make sure you get the correct system for your vehicle. At the end of the wizard, you will be able to add each item to the cart and checkout using PayPal, using a PayPal account or without an account using a credit card. At the moment, the Quck 4 is the only controller available for online order, but online ordering will include the Quick 6 very soon. Click here to get started.

Shiftware Version 5.0 Released

Version 5.0 includes our new graphical data log viewer, which utilizes a new binary data log file format. This powerful tool allows you to easily take full advantage of our high resolution data logging capability, which has been a crucial part of our Quick 6 (6R80) development program. Version 5 also includes a parameter update that allows the torque converter clutch to be utilized in manual select mode using the OFF-RODE TCC settings. This enhancement is very useful for chassis dyno testing.
