Struggling to find an affordable V8 6R80 or are they too expensive for your build? Here's a cost-effective solution—use the Ecoboost V6 Ford transmission instead!
The V6 transmissions are more common and offer excellent aftermarket support. While the V6 and V8 cases share many similarities, there are two key differences. First, the bellhousing shape is different. More importantly, the rear output bearing differs: the V6 features a heavy-duty ball bearing while the V8 uses a roller bearing. The ball bearing in the V6 provides better support, as the Ecoboost V6 produces more torque at lower RPMs compared to the Modular V8. Aside from this, the 6R80 and 10R80 transmissions are essentially the same between V6 and V8 versions. (Please note: The 6R80 and 10R80 have different torque converter spacing, so be sure to order the correct kit for your setup.)
Additionally, this is the latest version of the adapter plate, now just 0.50" thick! This provides improved clearance, reduces the chances of firewall interference, and eliminates the need for modifications to your bellhousing or engine. The adapter also includes 11 possible starter clocking positions to help avoid any obstructions in your engine bay.
These Kits are designed to work with the 2.7, 3.0, 3.5 & 3.7 Ford V6 "Ecoboost" transmissions found in the F150, Mustang, and other larger Ford vehicles. It also works with the transmissions paired to the naturally-aspirated 3.7L V6 found in Mustangs and F150s. This kit retains the factory torque converter with the 11.4" bolt circle pattern so it will work with your factory flexplate. (164 tooth 14.25" DIA) This means no guessing on your balance, no custom converter spacer, just off-the-shelf parts to make any repair easier.

Shipping Time

Return Policy
All returns must have an RA (Return Authorization) number and will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Shipping is non-refundable unless we shipped you the incorrect item. No refunds will be issued after 30 days past the ship date.
