GM Inline 6 to GM V8 Automatic Transmission Adapter
PerformanceAdapters.com GM 216, 235, 261 Inline 6 engine to GM V8 automatic transmission adapter. Can be used with the Quick4 or Quick2 controlling a 4L60E or 4L80E transmission. Compatibility note: This kit uses a "standard" flat SBC style flexplate which works with the older 4L60E but not the later models. Later 4L60E transmissions have a dished flexplate and a smaller converter bolt circle size.

This kit works in the classic General Motors second generation Inline 6 engines; 216, 235, and 261. These engines, manufactured from 1937 to 1962, found their place in nearly all Chevrolet and GM platforms. These I6 engines are among some of the best sounding classic engines and were known for their unwavering reliability and steadfast work ethic. What does this mean? It means they deserve better treatment than being discarded for an LS engine swap. Instead, upgrade these classics with a modern, electronically-controlled transmission, allowing them to continue their legacy and enabling you to enjoy comfortable highway drives.
The solution comes in the form of a one-piece 6061 billet aluminum adapter plate, offering a simple and straightforward upgrade that can be installed with just a handful of bolts. The provided starter bolts directly into the adapter plate, occupying the same position as the original Chevy V8 starter boss. This ensures that no cutting or grinding of any bellhousing material is required during installation.
Also included is a custom pre-welded flexplate designed to bolt directly onto the OEM crankshaft. This flexplate is specifically engineered to work seamlessly with a 3-pad 10.75" or 11.50" torque converter, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.

Shipping Time

Return Policy
All returns must have an RA (Return Authorization) number and will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Shipping is non-refundable unless we shipped you the incorrect item. No refunds will be issued after 30 days past the ship date.
